I am too tired to type very much.
Our farm house, the one I raised my children in....the one my daughter , her husband and baby currently lived in....is destroyed. All of the barns and outbuildings etc lost. We may be able to salvage some of their belongings. Maybe alot of them. There were thousands of trees down. I had extreme difficulty navigating my own property that I have owned since 1994. I have never witnessed such devastation.
One cat is dead and the other is missing. Both of the dogs are ok other than being traumatised. We brought them here.
Our daughter and family have moved in with us.
It looks like a totally different place.. The tree line is gone. Hundred year old trees are splintered, twisted and uprooted. Debris is everywhere. We couldnt even walk down our driveway the trees and debris was so thick.
Churches, fire department ....all gone.
We still don't know about some things there because we can't get to them.
We are reeling but we are very grateful and praising God tonight for keeping our family safe. There is no way they would have survived had they chosen to stay there.
Praise You my Father, The creator of the universe, The God of Israel and of Cammy

Devastating Tornadoes in our area
Thank God my daughter, my baby grandson and my son in love came to my house to ride out the storms. There are people confirmed dead from tornadoes in the area of our farm where they live. We even heard from a volunteer fire fighter that they have crews in the area of the farm. We cannot get in touch with our neighbors up there. The one person that I can reach is about a mile from there and they say the tornado went right over them. It was one mile wide. They are still digging people out of the rubbish. It is horrible. There are 53 confirmed dead in our state and it looks like many more may be added to that number.
Please pray for all the people affected by these tornadoes.
I am so thankful to God that He has protected my family.
I bow my knee to the mighty Creator of this universe....the God of Israel.

Chickens In My Backyard! WhooHoo

It has finally happenend. The last of our chickens at the farm were killed by a marauding dog back in 2003. I remarried and moved to a country neighborhood/aka suburbia. It is not real surburbia for there are donkeys and cows across the street.
But I digress......today the chicken tractor was delivered along with 8 barnevelder ....chicks that are pre-pullets I hope! I am praying my neighbors don't mind and have asked God to smooth the way. He has already been answering that prayer .Praise God!!
I have waited a long time for this!
Blessed be the name of the Lord! I have chickens in my backyard!

Last Day Of Unleavened Bread
This is a picture I took at a farm I visited here while back .I just dearly love corn and tractors. I am a country girl for sure.
Good Evening,
Today was a high Sabbath and it was a gloriously beautiful day. It was warm and breezy. I just couldnt stop drinking in the delicious rays of sun on my skin, the feel of the cool breeze as it was blowing through my hair and the delightful smell of summer blossoms. I am grateful for another rest day...a day that my precious Abba instructed me to rest. This is such a gift.
Yesterday was a work day for us, though ,and we built the cucumber bed. It went from sod to almost completely planted in one afternoon. I took a break and played with my 5 month old grandson for a couple of hours while his mommy and Daddy went for a ride in the mustang with the top down. We also planted a 50 ft row of onions. We stretched out some soaker hoses and watered everything real good.
This evening we started 144 seedlings. They are tomatos, peppers and a few herbs.
Yesterday we marked off the rows for the field corn. We already have the sweet corn planted.
Tomorrow morning before my husband goes to work, we plan to dig the field corn rows. I have one more tomato plant ready to pot too.I want to finish planting the cucumbers and if we finish digging the rows I want to plant the field corn.
This next week I would like to get in the different field peas, okra and butterbeans as well as enlarge the 3 squash beds.
I am in hopes that the chicken tractor and the chickens will be delivered tomorrow. WHOOHOOO!
Blessed be the name of the Lord! He reigns!!
Blessings,
Cammy

The Business End Of A Shovel

Good evening,
I have had a wonderful, busy, productive, miracle filled week. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Tonight I would like to talk about my garden. I have been busy as a bee this week getting it in the ground. God sent me help. My mama came for 3 days. We both love to play in the dirt so we had lots of fun. We planted a 100 ft row of potatos. She and my brother helped me to finish the grading of the garden(done with a shovel and rake). My husband and my son in love dug it up with a shovel. The entire garden has been done by hand all along. I call it my victory garden and it has never had any motorized thing in it at all. We dug it with a shovel from the first year. After that I made the beds. I had already planted 4 rows of corn a couple of weeks ago(April 4th) and it looks really good. My neice helped watch baby A so that I could work outside. I planted 2 more rows of corn and 4 rows of green beans yesterday. I also planted more lavender, sage, stevia, and bee balm in my herb garden. Today I planted some tomato plants and some sweet banana pepper plants. These are in pots because I have a rule for the victory garden. I do not put any plant in there that I did not start from seed. This decreases the chances of disease and pests being transported there. :) I also planted 4 kinds of summer squash today after creating the beds with a shovel. Sunday, I plan to plant cucumbers and onions. I would also like to get all my seeds started,(tomato, peppers, ground cherries etc) in the little peat pots. Just for fun, well not entirely for fun, I planted wildflowers today along the edge of the woods. I planted one kind that just said wildflowers and another that said hummingbirds and butterflies like these. Next week I would like to get in the field corn, (the other 6 rows are sweet corn), as well as the peas and butterbeans. I am the only one in the neighborhood that plants food instead of flowers so I thought I would toss in the wildflowers. Although, I must admit I had another motive in addition to beauty. The flowers will attract bees and butterflies to pollinate my garden. I already have birdhouses all over the trees along with birdbaths to attract my feathered friends to help eat bugs. I attract the lizards by leaving them some undisturbed sandy soil in which to lay their eggs as well as pans of water. I have pans out as well a a little plastic pond for the frogs too. They all help with the bugs. So far, I raise all heirloom seedlings organically. This does not mean certified. It means chemical free, pesticide free and as naturally and old fashioned as possible.
I am so thankful to God for the opportunity to get all this work done. I depend on my Father for everything. He blesses me so much even though I do not deserve it. I pray that He will bring forth food abudantly from the work of our hands. AMEIN! For we can work our fingers to the bone but only the God of Israel can cause a seed to sprout, grow and produce.
Praise God!

Our Family Passover Seder
We had a wonderful night. Tonight we had our passover seder. Seder simply means order. We did certain things in order such as eating the bitter herbs etc. This year we had my 5 month old grandson, his older brother whose 3rd birthday was also today, and my little neice who turned 2 in March. My mother joined us as well. We had 4 generations of my family represented here tonight. Our friends the G's also were with us. We had a total of 15 for dinner. It was a first for several present. It was the 14th for me. We enjoyed celebrating the Lord's passover very much. It is always a blessing to hear my husband tell of all the things in the seder that Jesus fulfilled. He did not do away with them , He filled them up and made them full! He arose, He arose, Haleluyah! Christ Arose!
God answered so many prayers and moved mountains for us this week end. I am still in awe of His great mercy. Baruch Hashem Adonai!! Blessed is the name of the Lord!
Tonight, I feel so grateful and so unworthy of the great Love and favor that my Father, the God of Israel shows to me in so many ways. I am grateful that He has revealed to us His sabbath and His feasts. These are Moedim or appointed times to be with our God in a special way. I wouldnt miss it!
Be Blessed!

Tornado Pictures And Answered Prayer And Family Time
This is one of the tornados that touched down in our fair state tonight. I did not take these pictures. Thank God we were not this close to one. We have been declared to be in a state of emergency. Although I do not know what shape the farm is in, we are safe at this house.I just spoke with my Mama and she said the tornado that was on the ground there had passed through and they were safe. We have had injuries here and deaths along with much damage. There are even some people missing and some being transported to hospitals as I type. I would appreciate your prayers.
Because of the severe weather tonight we have had the whole tribe at home once again. My daughter, son in love and baby grandson who live at our farm, came to spend the night because we believe our home is safer. My sister , her teenage daughter and her toddler neice also are spending the night for the same reason. My college daughter lives with us so she is already spending the night. :) Really, I do have a rhyme and reason for all this rambling if you would please bear with me for a little longer.
Tonight I am so thankful to the God of Israel that He allowed all my little chicks to be under my wings. This is such a special gift to me. The weather has been nasty but this has been made much less stressful with the peace of having them all with me. I know that my Mama and Daddy are safe and sound and my brother too. :)
This Sabbath night, God is answering a special prayer for my daughter and son in love in such a mighty way. Thank you Abba!!!!!
This week God has answered prayer about my brother that has been ongoing for a long, long, long time. Praise the Lord!!!!! And the corn is up!!!! My little neice has been saying Praise God corn up!
We had pizza and pecan pie and we have spent time together. I love God very much and I love my family very much. We serve the awesome God of Israel and He hears us when we pray. AMEN!! Many blessings to you all.

The High Calling Of Motherhood
Hello to all,
I would like to share with you some things on my heart about the high calling of motherhood.
Ladies, please do not be discouraged. You are doing the most important job of all. You are nurturing and guiding souls for the Lord. He has placed these souls in your hands for a reason. He obviously knew you could be trusted with this great responisbility and He wanted to bless you. For, lo children are a heritage from the Lord!
It is true they do not come with individual intruction booklets. What works just fine for one may not do so well for another. God made us all unique. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. I have wished at times that there was a formula you could use and everything would be perfect in the end. Then, I realized there is a formula in a sense. The Father sent the son to be the saviour of the world! Everything will be perfect in the end.
In the meantime, we ask that His word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. God is faithful to instruct , guide, and direct us . He gives us wisdom if we seek His face. He has given 66 books in the Bible to guide us. His torah reveals His heart! It contains His instructions for how we should live.
May the Lord encourage you in the high calling of motherhood as you press in close to His heart!
