Last week at a glimpse

Good evening friends and family,

I have been so very busy this week. It has been wonderful and I am worn out!

I enjoyed caring for my neice once again. she is 23 months old now and she can repeat anything you ask her to as well as express plenty of her own thoughts. We had a great time. We did many things, such as, feed the birds, dig in the garden, and hunt lizards. She is feeding herself now and her favorite food is yogurt so you can imagine how many clothes we go through. She is so funny and cute! Despite my worries about being able to handle it all, the Lord managed it just fine.

I also babysat my grandson a couple of times for my daughter and son in love to go hiking. It was great fun! I told them they just didn't stay gone long enough :) She pumps her milk and he takes a bottle quite well considering that he hasnt had one very often. He is 3 months old and he is fat as butter. I really enjoyed him. He is so precious to me. I took him to my prayer spot yesterday and he really seemed to like it. I walked around the garden holding him and he listened to the birds and watched the trees blowing in the wind. He is a beautiful baby.

My visiting evangelist is gone now. He will not be back for 3 months. I was able to go and hear him several nights last week. It was wonderful preaching, teaching, worship and praise!
Children are such a blessing from God. I had wanted to give birth to more children. So far, that has not happened. I am more than content to trust the Lord. He has given me a grandson and a neice to love. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

I have decided to clep some of my college courses. We shall see if I can do it!

Thats whats going on in my world!

God bless you and keep you ever nearer to His heart!

Providing Care For My Neice Once Again

Tomorrow begins a new season for me.....a new opportunity to minister. Maybe I should call this a renewed opportunity. I stepped down from taking care of my little neice in the second half of October just before the birth of my first grandchild. My sister, my little neice and my adolescent neice lived with us for a couple of years while my sister worked full time and attended college. When I stepped down to be available to my daughter and new grandbaby a friend of mine watched my neice for a couple of months. My sister soon graduated and took a new job as well as an apartment of her own. A young homeschool mom in our fellowship offered to take the now paid position of caring for our little darling. At the end of this week she suddenly decided that it was just too much for her.

I will be caring for her awhile. I like to think of it as a trial run to see how it works out. I spend lots of time with my daughter and little grandson. I am trying to finish my degree in education, online. And it is almost time to plant the garden.

However, a member of our little tribe needs help. I love her very much. I will be paid in hugs and finger paintings!

I have just now attained the freedom to go to Bible Studies and such at the drop of a hat. However, this child, my precious little neice, needs me and I believe this is what the Lord wants me to do at this time.

It will be fun to see how the logistics work out with my little grandson who is 3 months old and my little neice who is 23 months old. I am thinking that just about the time my daughter, or me, gets the little baby to sleep the toddler will squeal and wake him. And I am sure that is just the beginning of the adventures. My daughter has a Dr.'s appointment Thursday so we will soon get a chance to try an outing with the two of them. Of course, there are also two of us....how difficult could it be right?

God is good and life is good. My Father knows what is best. I may not always know what is around the next bend in life but my Abba knows. Nothing catches Him by surprise and He will not lose control and wring His hands just because something surprises me. I may not know what the future holds but I know who holds the future!

Where God guides He provides and I am confident that He will supply all that I need to accomplish this opportunity. I feel sure that my Father will provide me with wisdom, strength, energy and plenty of laughter as we navigate this course.
Welcome to my world!

May the Lord bless you and keep you!

God's Nature

I captured this gift from God, early one morning, up at the farm. We had been up and down all night burning a huge pine tree that had been destroyed by the southern pine beetle.

God's Nature

Suppose God charged us for the rain,
or put a price on a songbird’s strain,
of music, the dawn, mist on the plain.

How much would autumn landscapes cost,
or a window etched with winter’s frost,
and a rainbow’s glory so quickly lost?

Suppose the people had to pay
to see the sunset’s crimson play,
and the magic stars on the Milky Way.

Suppose it was fifty cents a night
to watch the pale moon’s silvery light,
or watch a gull in graceful flight.

How much, I wonder, would it be worth
to smell the good, brown fragrant earth in spring?
The miracle of birth-

How much do you think people would pay
for a baby’s laugh at the close of the day?
Suppose God charged us for them, I say.

Suppose we paid to look at the hills,
for the rippling mountain hills,
or the mating song of a whippoorwill,
Or the curving breakers of the sea,
for grace and beauty and majesty.
And all these things God gives us free.

God Is So Good To Us

We had several big blessings today. My daughter's car is repaired and for much lower than we expected. He did not charge a mark up on the master cylinder or labor to put it on. He only charged labor for the brake lines. Thank you Father!

I also learned from my Daddy that after a long time struggling, his company business has exploded! This has been much prayed about and we are profoundly grateful for this gigantic blessing.

I have been trying to get caught up on my work as my hubby has a 4 day week end. He is on the way home so I must go and finish a few things.

May God draw you closer to Him with each passing day.

Wonderful Wednesday

What a fabulous day! Blessed be the name of the Lord!

I just came in from my prayer spot. It is warm and sunny. The birds are chirping and the lizards are playing on the warm bricks that enclose my herb garden. Spring is on the way! I soaked up my daily dose of vitamin D in the most fabulous of ways.

I have been outside studying the 144,000 in spoken of in Revelations. That is a tough subject!

Tonight I am making the chicken enchiladas that Cheryl spoke about on her blog . http://holcombhappenings.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/happy-birthday-josephine/ The picture looks so delicious!

We are waiting to hear about the brakes on my daughters car. It was dropped off at the mechanics shop this morning.

May God bless you and Keep you all.

Hello Everyone

So very many things have happened in my life over the last few months.

I have had a transformation spiritually. I will never be the same again. Things that were important to me one month ago, now have no meaning. I have had my priorities totally rearranged. I met a visiting evangelest with a 5 fold ministry and one of those is healing. I have been emotionally and physically healed. But most of all I have been regenerated , filled with God's Spirit and am now a different person. I will be posting my testimony about that here in a couple of days, God willing. I have been blessed to spend many hours under his teaching and ministry over the last month.

I also became a MawMaw. That has been a lifechanging experience. Our little mancub is a precious blessing...a gift from our loving Father, the God of Israel and we are profoundly grateful for that.

May God multiply unto you mercy , grace, peace and love!
